Match Perfection VS Lasting Finsh | Elizabeth Gayle

Match perfection and lasting finish are both a very popular foundation in the Rimmel London collection. They are both in the similar price range and also the packaging is quite the same.
Personally I love both of these foundations, but some of my friends disagree with me. Most of them prefer one or the other. I thought that this would be a good blog post if you are wondering if they have any differences. Hope you enjoy.

Match Perfection:

I have repurchased this foundation around seven times. One of my favourite foundations in my collection. I mostly wear this foundation for school or if I am popping out as it is not a heavy texture and gives more of flawless look, which I personally think is amazing for school as I don't really like wearing loads of makeup to school. It's  a thin, runny foundation that spreads evenly and feels quite silky smooth. The pump makes dispensing a lot easier but you need to be careful because it is a very light texture which means you could end up with a load, and you don't want that happening!

The coverage of this foundation is not very good, but it is very buildable. I normally apply this foundation twice onto my face with my fingers as I find that my foundation brush leaves streaks. This could be that the foundation is very light, but most properly caused by my cheap makeup brush haha!
I also apply a powder onto my face to fade the shininess away and to keep my foundation in place for the whole day. The powder I currently use is the 'Stay Matte' by Rimmel London.

I love this foundation, defiantly worth the money. Just a essential foundation to be in your collection when you don't want to go all out with your makeup. I would recommend to go a shade darker than your actual shade, as the shades are lighter than others.

Lasting Finish:

Lasting finish is in the same price range as the match perfection foundation, and basically in the same kind of glass bottle, different colour packaging though. I wear this foundation for weekends or evenings if I am doing something ( which I never do haha! ) The texture of this foundation is very heavy unlike match perfection. The thing I love most about this foundation is as it is a heavy texture, it doesn't cake over your face if you get what I mean? I do have to apply a powder over my face overwhise my face does look quite dewy. I apply my absolute favourite powder which is 'stay matte'
as I said above. Properly the only powder I use.

I apply this foundation with my beauty blender as I find if I am using my fingers, it drags across my face and doesn't blend equally. After applying this foundation onto my face in the morning, I don't need to redo it as it lasts for so long. Good coverage and also has SPF 20 in it, which is always a good thing. This foundation was actually featured in my 2014 favourites which you could read here.
All I can say is - amazing coverage - amazing price. What else can you ask for? I highly recommend!

I personally love both these foundations and I have no doubt in them. I am sure I will be buying these foundation for the next year or so. They are both my favourite foundations.

Favourite Bloggers and Youtubers | Elizabeth Gayle

As some of you know, last week I had my tonsils taken out. I cant believe how painful it was! As getting your tonsils taken out is not a big surgery, I was not expecting to be in so much pain.
Oh well, the good side is that I wont be getting tonsillitis again. Apart from scoffing my face with ice cream and jelly, I have been reading so many blogs! beauty, fashion and lifestyle. Also I have discovered new youtubers who I am loving! So I thought I would share with you guys who I have been loving in the blogger and YouTube world.

| Blogs I am loving |

So the first blog I have been loving is called Zeena Xena. The blog is about lifestyle. One thing I love about her blog is her photography and the layout of her blog, such a lovely layout. She is a well known person in the blogging community as she is the founder of blogging gals. I have been reading her blog for a couple of weeks, but recently I have been really getting into it.

Another blog I have been loving is Underland to Wonderland. This blog is another lifestyle kind of blog. If you love Disney, then I am sure you would love this blog as she is a huge Disney lover as well. Her photography is amazing! She shares her photos on her blog where she has visited. It is just amazing! And her dog is the cutest!

Jasmine McRae another blog that I am currently loving. A beauty, fashion and lifestyle blog.. ( my favourite) The reason why I love her blog is because of the layout, so pretty! She keeps you updated and she also puts a lot of effort into her blog.

| Youtubers I am loving |

Asia Jade is one of my favourite youtubers at the moment. She also has a blog called Asia Jade which is amazing, but I have really been getting into her videos recently. I do speak to Asia over on Twitter, she actually helped me set up my blog! Which seems like just the other day. So grateful for her help. Her videos just keep getting better, I am actually watching her January favourites right this minute, if you are reading this Asia, That candle holder is beautiful! She is almost at 200 subscribers which is amazing! So happy for her! You should defiantly check her channel out.

I have been loving HelloApril. Her channel is based around beauty. She seems like such a lovely person and someone to get along with easily. She also has a blog and has recently announced a secret about something.. *Cough* Tesco beauty *cough*. If you want to find out more go check her out!
I am super exited to find out more!

The last youtuber I have recently been loving is beautybyalicee, she is such a beautiful girl and deserves all the subscribers she has and more. Her videos are amazing, very well presented and edited. I think she is going to do very well with her channel.

Make sure to check out all of their blogs and channels by clicking the name of it. All of them are amazing at what they are doing, and over the past few days I have been constantly reading their blogs or watching their channels!

My Top Four Braid Hairstyles | Elizbaeth Gayle.

This post is my first ever post I have done which is about hairstyles. I have always thought about doing a hairstyle post, but I always came to the conclusion that it would be to difficult to demonstrate by pictures. In the end, I have decided that I am going to try and do it. I'd also like to say thank you to my younger sister for me to demonstrate the hairstyles with her hair.

1) Half up half down braid.
You have properly seen everyone wearing this hairstyle recently.
I think it is such a cute hairstyle, basic with a little twist.
All you have to do is brush your hair to make sure you get all those knots and tangles are out.
Then pull two pieces of hair from the front of your hair.
Gently start platting the hair.
Platting is very basic, all you have to do is divide your hair into three sections.
Then cross the right section over the top of the middle section.
Then repeat. There is many videos on YouTube which could help you out.
After platting your hair, tie it with a hair bubble, then loosen the plait to give it more of a settle look.

3) Ponytail plait
I recently watched one of my favourite youtubers vlog, and saw she was wearing a ponytail plait.
I used to wear my hair like this all the time, and recently seen it is getting slowly back into fashion.
All you have to do is brush your hair up to a ponytail.
tie your hair as if you are keeping it like that.
Then start platting the ponytail tightly down to the bottom, then tie it with another hair bubble.
Such a basic but cute hairstyle! Perfect if you are running late but still wanting to look the part!

4) Side Plait.
Again, another very basic hairstyle which can change up a look.
I always wear this hairstyle as it is super easy and also super cute.
All you need to do is brush all your hair and get all the knots and tangles out.
Then brush it all the left side of your head.
Start platting your hair down to the end, then tie it with a hair bubble.
That's it! Done!
Normally, I like to loosen my plait as it gives a lot more texture, but that is up to you!
Do you have your hair like this often?

4) Double Plait.
Not going to lie, but this hairstyle is the hardest one out of them all.
I do love this hairstyle so much though!
All you need to do is separate your hair into three sections.
Then plait each one of those sections, but don't tie them! leave them loose!
After plating each three sections, plait all those three sections into one big plait.
Then tie it with a hair bubble!

Hope you guys enjoyed todays post!

Makeup Haul | Elizabeth Gayle

I did a sneaky order online the other day, from one of my favourite websites called fragrance direct.
Fragrance direct is one of the most unexpansive online shops that you could ever buy makeup from.
Normally it would cost me around £15 pound for three products from Boots, on this website I ordered seven products which came to the amazing price of £20 pound, including postage. I have brought a wide range of products and also brands. You will also be able to see that I have stayed away the from the brand Rimmel London, as I want to try and experiment different brands. Hope you guys enjoy todays post, also make sure to comment down below if you have tried any of these products!

1) Revlon photo ready Airbrush foundation.
I have never tried a Revlon foundation or a mouse foundation, so I am super exited to try this product out. I have tested it on my hand as I normally do with new products. It is very light and has a lot of shimmer in it, so if you don't like shimmer I advise you not to try this product. I am not a huge shimmer fan, but this will not bother me. So far, I am loving it.

2) N.Y.C. Colour Wheel Face Powder. ( Out of Stock )
I am a huge bronzer lover, I can never have a complete makeup look without a little bit of bronzer.
So when I saw this little beauty for such a amazing price, I couldn't dare just leave it! There are so many different shades in this wheel, from pale to dark. Cant wait to try this beauty out!

3) Revlon colour stay eyed shadow quad.
Recently I have been getting into my eye shadows. I have never been a huge lover, but in these past winter moths, I have been wearing my rimmel London eyed shadow every single day. I thought that I would treat myself to a new one, so that is what I did. The quad I brought is 535 Goddess Deesse.

4) L'Oreal Natural Lipstick.
Again, not a huge lover of lipsticks, but this colour stood out me and really caught my eye. The colour I got is colour riche, 303 rose tender. Super exited to try this product out, and also the packaging is so damn cute! I mean how pretty is it?

5) Maybelline The Falsies Feather Look mascara.
I was in need of a new mascara, I came across this lovely one. I have heard quite a few good reviews for this mascara so I thought why not get it! It also super cheap on this website unlike it would be in store which is also a bonus point! I may do a review post on this mascara if you would like me too?

6) Technic Get Lashed Volumising Mascara.
I have a green version of this mascara which is for lenghing your lashes, and oh my gosh it is one of my favourite mascara EVER! I saw this product and thought I may as well give it a go as it super cheap at an amazing price of £1 pound and also the other mascara which is the same brand is amazing, so this product could likely be amazing as well.

7) Techic Eyelash Curler.
Last thing I brought is a eyelash curler, I was in desperate need of a new one, so I brought this one.

Hope you guys enjoyed todays post!

How to save money | Elizabeth Gayle

Today I wanted to write a different type of post, not going to lie but I am starting to get a little bored of writing beauty reviews most of the times. I have decided that I am going to start doing a lot more lifestyle posts and also fashion along with beauty posts.

Saving money is one of those tasks that's so much easier said than done — everyone knows it's smart to save money in the long run, but many of us still have difficulty doing it. So today I am going to be giving you guys my top tips on how to save money! Hope you enjoy.

( This post is mostly aimed towards teenagers )

pictures from google images

1) Set Saving Goals.
It is so much easier saving up money if you know what you are saving up for. If you are just saving up money with no reason to, it is more likely you are going to pick up that foundation which is £30 pound, then regret it when you look in your purse and see you only have £20 pound left.

2) Make a budget.
Give yourself amounts that you're willing to spend each month on a item, but then stick to the budget. Don't buy things that go above and beyond your allotted spending, so that you can still save the difference.

3) Use up your makeup products before buying more.
I know, sounds horrible doesn't it! but it honestly works! Most of us girls own way to much beauty products, 10 bottles of foundations and a tub full of mascaras. When you are next shopping and you see a beauty product you want, just think about all your makeup at home.

4) Money bank.
I know this idea sounds stupid, but my boyfriend brought me a money bank for Christmas without a whole to get your money out. I wasn't that happy with the present, but I tell you what, it honestly works! I put all loose change in there such as pounds and 50ps. I think my money bank is a quarter way filled with money, and as my boyfriend said, change adds up! I cant wait to smash it up though and get all the money out!

I find that these 4 tips help me out a lot, and I hope that some of you guys will try out these tips. If you try them out make sure to comment down below or tweet me on how you are doing with it!

What is your number one tip for saving? I'd love to hear!

2014 Beauty Favourites | Elizabeth Gayle

Hey, welcome back to my blog.

I know I may be a little bit late with this post, but its better now than never, right? Today I am going to be talking about my beauty favourites in 2014. It was actually very difficult to narrow it down to only a few products, but I have managed to do it, after thinking about it for a long time.

Lasting Finish foundation - Rimmel London - £6.99.
I brought this foundation mostly because of the hype I was hearing about it. I am super glad I picked it up though. such an amazing foundation. I have been using this foundation mostly towards the end of 2014, but I already loved it after using it for the first time. Such amazing coverage! I have to admit, it is a heavy texture, so if you don't like heavy textures, then I don't recommend this foundation. but other than that, I love it and is defiantly one of my 2014 favourites!

Stay Matte Primer - Rimmel London - £6.00
Okay, I am going to admit it, I never used to wear primers. I never believed that they would keep my makeup on for longer or control shines. but while shopping a few months ago, I decided to pick up this one primer as it was on a special order, and oh my days. I love it! It does keep my makeup on for loner, it does control my shininess and it also moisturises my skin very well!

Soft Colour Blush - Rimmel London - £3.99
Oh look, another rimmel London product. This blush is in the shade 050 Live Pink. and I absolutely love it! This blush is a very pink tone, you do have to be careful how much you apply onto your face, but if you do it carefully, it looks beautiful! As I am a strawberry blonde, this blush goes so well with my hair, as well as pink lipsticks! One of my favourite blushes my far!

Quad Eye Shadow - Rimmel London - £1 / pound land.
Did you know that Pound Land sell some good makeup products such as this quad eye shadow? I always have a quick look in Pound Land before I go to boots or Superdrug, just to see if they have any good brands on sale instead of buying products for the full price. Anyway, I adore this product, I am not really a big fan of eye shadow but when I want to give my makeup look a little more glam, I always reach out for this quad, Romantic Cool, 018. The colours are very natural, and also easy to apply. what else does a girl want from a eye shadow?

Ghost Perfume - £16.
This perfume is one of my favourites out of my whole collection! Such a basic smell but with a little twist. Vanilla, fruit and roses all mixed up in a bowl. I have been wearing this perfume for most of the year. This is my second bottle in actual fact, I adore it so much!

That's it for my beauty favourites! I hope you enjoyed todays post, make sure to comment down below on what you think and if you have tried any of these products! And also if you have a blog, please leave a link down below as I would like to start reading some new blogs. Make sure to follow me on Twitter and Bloglovin to keep up to data with my blog and also my daily life.
